Aurifil Cotton Mako’ thread is made in Italy from extra-long staple Egyptian cotton, giving the thread the strength needed for all hand and machine purposes, including high speed machines. Cotton Mako’ threads are mercerised, a process that shrinks the fibre and increases its lustre, and affinity for dyeing, resulting in rich colours with a beautiful sheen.

This design has been created to feature large print fabric, in a focal, strippy style quilt.

On to the binding of the last quilt for the Rocky Mountains Quilt Museum. Full pictures coming soon.
Colorado will be the first to see this beautiful quilt completed. Classes avaiable on the 9th and 10th November 2015. Bookings open now.

Aunt Green is getting quilted
Are we excited. Yes indeed we are. Aunt Green has finally made it to the quilting machine. Such a pity we wont be able to enjoy it completed for long. It is off to Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Museum for a three month holiday. We hope all our lovely American quilters will enjoy it while it is there.
Words can not describe how incrediable this quilt is.
