Carolyn's Favourite Things Sampler Quilt sneak peak.

This will be a new fortnightly class full of techniques to learn both by hand and by machine. Suitable for beginners that are just starting out or those that what to hone their skills. Blocks can be swapped to create your own unique quilt in the finishing process. Hand piecing, applique, machine piecing, reverse applique, english paper piecing, foundation piecing, templates and drafting are just some of the skill covered in the twelve fortnightly classes. Scheduled to run on Tuesday during the day starting on the 8th August 2017. $20.00 per class. Aurifil Cotton Mako’ thread is made in Italy from extra-long staple Egyptian cotton, giving the thread the strength needed for all hand and machine purposes, including high speed machines. Cotton Mako’ threads are mercerised, a process that shrinks the fibre and increases its lustre, and affinity for dyeing, resulting in rich colours with a beautiful sheen.

Carolynwill be teaching at Quilt Norfolk 2016  from the 24th - till 29th October

 

Bookings are now open for Floral Fantasy 1703 and Oh George, and are filling fast. Both hand projects - so can be done anywhere - and what a great location to sew in - just divine.

Introducing Montrose and French Montrose

This design has been created to feature large print fabric, in a focal, strippy style quilt.

The large print fabric is then further enhanced with rows of pinwheel flying geese on classic shirtings and completed with a beautiful hand appliqued floral centre panel.
